ACLU and NRA fight White House over Unconstitutional Gun Bill

When opposites are on the same side

While this particular article is grossly disingenuous in pigeonholing the NRA into some kind of gun toting, nutjob outfit, at least they are on the correct side of the issue. Some people need to remember the NRA exists almost exclusively as an organization to protect the second amendment. As such, you probably won’t find the NRA involved in other civil rights issues. The very title of the story, suggesting the NRA and ACLU are “opposite” organizations, doesn’t make any sense. The NRA aims at protecting the right to bear arms. The ACLU aims to defend all civil rights. There is no contradiction here. Anyway, I have completely veered off topic. Rant over.

What we have here is yet another case of the current administration ignoring civil rights. Specifically, Alberto Gonzales seems to be absolutely and completely ignorant of the constitution. Can somebody do some fact checking and make sure this man actually attended and graduated from law school? This is the same man who claimed the constitution gave no right to habeas corpus. No right to habeas corpus?! That is absolutely terrifying! How did this man rise to the office of attorney general of the United States of America? Could we please direct Alberto to Article 1, section 9 of the constitution and the tenth amendment? The federal government has no rights other than those expressly given to the federal government in the constitution. All else falls to the states and the people. Would somebody please fire this cancer to the nation?
